I have enjoyed photography since my childhood.

I remember the first Autofocus SLR my parents brought home one day.  Many would not remember the Minolta 5000 I would think!?!

I was fascinated by this camera.  Here started my passion!

My parents scolded me on numerous occasions for wasting film and ultimately the batteries as I was always snapping away with this camera, even without film.

As with all things, my attention to photography came and they went, and I had left film photography for a great deal of time. After all it is an expensive hobby. Yet, I never forgotten the joy I had as a kid snapping away photos....

....The event of digital photography to the every day consumer was a blessing (no more wasting film!), but having my first point-and-shoot digital was somewhat disappointing and limiting, so it did not hold my interest.  Then came the digital SLR

I was captivated once again.  This time around it was not my parents scolding me, but my wife.  I go everywhere with my DSLR camera in tow, never wanting to miss a shot!

Having started a new family, its hard not wanting to miss anything.  As a trigger happy father, I found my son to be a great source of inspiration to re-kindle my passion.  The elation of capturing a moment and freezing it in time is certainly gratifying.  But, I have realized that in observance of my photos, some good, some okay, and lots not so good, that no matter what photos of people I have taken, that I take great pleasure in the pure emotion that can be captured.  Emotion is a theme I find most timeless.
